Reiki
There is a universal non-physical all-encompassing energy that gives life to every living thing. There are many ways to harness and use this energy and power to heal and influence our lives. This Life Force Energy is known around the world as Ki, Chi, Prana, or Holy Spirit. From the moment we are conceived, we carry this energy in and around us.
The term Reiki is a combination of two Japanese words “Rei” meaning Universal or God, and “Ki” meaning Life Force Energy, Prana, or Chi. It is a healing practice that was divinely downloaded by Buddhist Monk, Dr. Mikao Usui in1922 after a 21 day fast and meditation on a mountaintop in Japan.
Life Force Energy is channeled to the client by means of touch (hands on) or by placing hands a few inches above the body (hands off). Both techniques activate the body’s natural healing process. Specific hand positions are used for a lengthy period of time to access, open, cleanse, and clear the energy pathways (chakras, meridians, and nadis) of the body.
The Physical Body and Subtle Energy Systems

The physical body consists of energy that vibrates very slowly, which is why it appears to our physical eyes to be solid. Our physical body is created from and sustained by the energetic layers that are outside of our normal vision. These energetic layers or subtle bodies create an interconnected field of energy around the physical body that is commonly known as the auric field. Each subtle body connects into the physical body via an energy point or chakra. Chakras are whirlpools of energy that regulate the flow of consciousness into and from the human body. 7 major chakras and about 21 minor penetrate the aura and the physical body providing energy to metabolic, glandular, immune, nervous, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, reproductive, and musculoskeletal systems. When the energy centers are healthy and clear, we are happy, energetic, and in the flow.

Chakras can become blocked due to outside factors such as environmental toxins, accident, conflict, fear, anxiety, stress, or emotional upset. This can cause a harmonic imbalance, resulting in a drop of cellular vibration. When we carry around negative energies, experiences, and feelings, they manifest in the body as physical pain, ailments, disease, or psychological problems. Reiki can be used as a tool to help release these low vibrational, dense, and blocked energies. Reiki automatically flows to all organs, blockages, emotions, pain, and disease. This process nourishes the organs, glands, and systems of the whole body at a cellular level to provide support and promote physical, emotional, and spiritual health.
